Don’t Quit

Often times in our course of doing ministry and answering our call with a “happy yes” and then we become discouraged, dis-grunted, complain cent for one reason or another.  And our reason’s most of the time has some validity to it.  We often times declare that we are quitting and we can’t take it anymore.  I’m not sure what your reason might be for feeling like giving up, but trust God at His word and rely and lean on His promises.  Please remember that the heat that you are feeling is just the stretch of God, fitting you to the assignment that He has chosen for you.  Matthew 24:13 - (NLT) But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NKJV) - 11 I returned and saw under the sun that, The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.  It’s getting ready to happen for you.  Hold on a little while longer.

It might look dark, lonely, and No one’s responding, But don’t Quit.

Frustrated, But don’t Quit.

Angry, But don’t Quit.

Completely had enough, But don’t Quit!

Stay the course, The end of a thing, is going to work out for you.  Trust God, because all things are going to work out for your Good!

Hebrews 12:1-4 - New Living Translation

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. 3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.

Hebrews 12:1-3 - The Message Bible

12 1-3 Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.  And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

Please note that you have Victory in Jesus – Heavenly Father, I thank you that we have received from Jesus Christ the victory over all diseases, afflictions, infirmities, hindrances, persecutions, torments and lies that the enemy is trying to send our way now or in the future.  We claim victory and deliverance from all demonic spirits, curses, witchcraft prayers.  We thank you that Jesus Christ is victorious through the power of His might against all the wiles of the devil; against principalities and powers and rulers of darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places.  (Eph. 6:10-12) We claim our victory in faith through our salvation and His shed Blood of all these things now.  We declare according to Job 22:27-28 that we are victorious through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, in His Holy Name we pray.  Amen!

Focal Book of Study – Romans
The book of Romans was written by Paul from Corinth during his third visit to that city.  When Paul wrote it, the Gospel had been preached through the Roman world for about a quarter of a century and many groups of Christians had come into existence.  Many questions had come out of these groups such as – “God’s grace – the Gospel and the Law - the Abrahamic Covenant” – and many other such questions.  Paul had not yet been to Rome when he wrote this Epistle.
The Structure of the Book:
*How the Gospel Saves – Chapter 1 through 8
*How the Gospel Relates to Israel – Chapter 9 through 11
*How the Gospel Affects Conduct – Chapters 12 through 16
How the Gospel Saves – Chapter 1 through 8
These first eight chapters are doctrinal because they teach the basic doctrines of the Gospel.  After a brief introduction Paul immediately begins a doctrinal discussion on “how the Gospel saves.”
First, The Pagan Man – (Gentile) – 1:18-32
Second, The moral man – (hypocrite) – 2:1-16
Third, The religious man – (Jew) – 2:17 through 3:8
Fourth, ALL are in SIN – Jew & Gentile – 3:9-20
